The Peterborough School Sixth Formers celebrate university offers following excellent A Level Results
Students at The Peterborough School have achieved an outstanding set of A Level results with 100% of students gaining place offers from their chosen universities, with many gaining places at prestigious Russell Group universities, including Imperial College London, King's College London, Leeds, Nottingham, York and Newcastle.
Individual successes include Saranya Das, who achieved three A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and will be studying Medicine at Imperial College London. Dyuti Chakraborty will also attend Imperial College in the autumn, after gaining three A*s in Physics, Maths and Further Maths, with plans to study Computer Science. Both students also achieved an A* in their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) where Sixth Formers take on an independent research task and accompanying essay on a subject that interests them.
Congratulations also go to Mimi Rutta, following her three A*s in Art, English and Psychology, as well as an A in her EPQ. She plans to study Criminology at York in September. Tom Smith also achieved excellent results, gaining two A*s and two A’s in Economics, Maths, History and his EPQ, and has plans to study Economics and History at Leeds.
Headmaster, Adrian Meadows, is thrilled for all the students, saying: “I am very proud of each of our students, even more so under these circumstances. I believe that they really rose to the challenge this year and their results reflect the hard work they have put in over the past two years. It is a real shame that they aren’t able to celebrate like normal, however I know that their university offers are proof that they will have plenty to celebrate when the time is right.”
