Building upon last week’s outstanding A Level success, students at The Peterborough School were again celebrating this morning as they collected their excellent GCSE results, matching last year’s highest results at Grades 9 to 7 (equivalent to A* and A) in sat examinations, since the number grading system was introduced in 2017. This year saw over 1 in 5 pupils gained Grades 9 to 7 in eight of more of their GCSE subjects.
Individual successes include Academic Scholar Jatin Mansani, who achieved six Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and three Grade 7s, and is continuing his studies of Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science in the Sixth Form. Congratulations also to Anna Ranjit and Sapphire Mordi for their impressive achievements of six Grade 9’s, four Grade 8’s and one Grade 6, and three Grade 9’s, six Grade 8’s and one Grade 7, respectively. Maija Higgins also gained four Grade 9s, five Grade 8s and two Grade 7s. Congratulations also to our Year 9 and 10 students who sat their Statistic Exams early, earning top Grades of 9 to 7 - a remarkable achievement!
Headmaster, Adrian Meadows, was full of praise for the Year 11 students: “I am so very proud of our Year 11 students, whose resilience and determination towards their studies has paid off with an excellent set of exam results. As always, I am incredibly grateful to all our staff who have gone above and beyond to ensure each student achieves their very best. We look forward to welcoming our students back in September as they embark on the next stage of their academic journeys and begin their A Levels.”
