Computer Scientists Reach National Finals
Students reach National Finals of STEM Student Challenge at Microsoft Research in Cambridge
Congratulations to our Year 10 Computer Scientists: Dyuti Chakraborty (Team Leader), Thomas Smith, Francois Van Cauwenbergh, Rhys Williams and Marcus Akester, who have qualified for for the National Grand Final of the STEM Student Challenge which will take place at Microsoft Research in Cambridge on 5th May.
The group submitted a video entry to the competition which aims to help UK students connect the dots between the STEM subjects they study today and the impact those subjects could have on their ability to be part of the next generation of technology heroes. The team used their knowledge of STEM subjects, new research and creativity to imagine and depict their vision of technology in 2037. They scored full marks in three out of six judging criteria which is a marvellous achievement.
We wish them all the very best of luck as they progress in this exciting competition.
