Appeals Day Fun Raises Huge Sum for PADSG
Appeals Day at the end of term raised a stack of money for PADSG
Our annual Appeals Day was a fun-filled affair, with all year groups contributing to a huge donation going to support the work of the Peterborough Area Down's Syndrome Group.
Star attractions included teachers in the stocks being soaked by wet sponges, the Year 11 and Upper Sixth shows, the chip shop and the Reception Class cake stall. The Headmaster's 85 mile School to Buckingham Palace bike relay challenge contributed a huge amount to the total raised, with money still coming in from the JustGiving page. Year 9 student, Georgia Bullard, was the star of the show as she cycled all 85 miles herself in 4 hours, 28 minutes - a tremendous achievement, especially as she sprinted the last mile and a half, reaching 38 mph!
The total amount raised is expected to be well over £3,000, so a big Well Done to everyone.
BREAKING NEWS...The total raised currently stands at a whopping £3,729 with money still coming in!
