Chair, Mr Ken Craig BA Hons, FCCA, CTA
Ken attended St Peter's School, York (though not at the same time as Guy Fawkes!) and Stamford School, and undertook university education in Leeds and Bremen, Germany. Since then, he has trained and qualified as an accountant and tax adviser and is currently a director of TC Craigs Limited, an independent accountancy practice in Peterborough. Ken advises individuals and businesses of all shape and size and specialises in the healthcare sector. He is a well-known member or supporter of local charitable organisations and a former public governor of Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His interests include playing golf and following most sports. Ken is married, with four children, all of whom are current or former pupils of the School. He became Chair of the governing body in September 2021.
The Reverend Canon Tim Alban Jones, Vice Dean of Peterborough
Tim has lived in Peterborough since 2015 working as Bishop’s Chaplain and now full time as Vice Dean and Canon Pastor in the Cathedral. Before moving to Peterborough Tim was a school governor at both primary and secondary schools in his previous parish and was, for a year, Chair of the local Multi Academy Trust. He has over 25 years of experience of school governance prior to joining the Peterborough School. He has a keen interest in history and music.
Ms Lynne Ayres LLB
A former pupil of the School with longstanding connections in Peterborough, Lynne is the former Chair of the Governing Body. She is a practising solicitor having graduated from the law school at Bristol University. Lynne was the Senior Partner and Managing Director at Hunt & Coombs Solicitors LLP for many years in Peterborough, Oundle and Huntingdon and is now a Consultant. She lives in Wansford and worships at Peterborough Cathedral and is a popular and well-respected member of the local community. Lynne is also a Corporate Fellow of Woodard Schools.
Mr John Roach
John, the founder of e4education, assisted The Peterborough School with their online presence for over 15 years. After successfully selling e4education in 2021, John transitioned into a role as a business advisor and investor, where he now passionately mentors entrepreneurs, guiding them to realise their business aspirations. As a former vice-chair of a local Multi Academy Trust, John contributed to strategic direction and future growth plans.
Born in the North East, John is a dedicated Newcastle United supporter and enjoys watching a variety of sports. Despite his self-proclaimed status as a "very average golfer," his enthusiasm for the game remains unwavering. John and his wife, Kate, reside in Wansford, where they enjoy life with their four grown-up children: two daughters and two sons.
Mrs Sarah dixon, BA HONS, PGCE
Sarah has been a Headmistress at two independent schools, and a Non-Executive Director at two NHS Trusts, most recently at North West Anglia. Her career in the teaching profession included twelve years at Bedford School. In 1999 she was appointed Headmistress of Peterborough High School, which she led for eight years, including two years as the representative of Heads on the Board of the Woodard Corporation.
She is now a Patient Governor at Cambridge University Hospitals and her husband, Mark, is a Consultant for Cambridge Assessment. Their two daughters, who work in London, attended Peterborough High School and remain close to many of their school friends.
Mrs Katie Hart BA Hons
Katie Hart was educated in Huntingdon and Peterborough and went on to gain an Honours degree in Philosophy at Durham. Before starting her own business, Rhetonic, in 2008, Katie was Director of Cambridgeshire Enterprise Services and Marketing and Customer Relations Manager at Business Link for Cambridgeshire. In her spare time, Katie is a volunteer listener for The Samaritans and raises money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity. She walked across the Jordanian desert to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and is a Business Mentor for the Prince’s Trust. Katie addressed the audience and presented the prizes at Speech Day in 2008.
MR GAVIN HYNES
Born in Hampshire, educated in Dorset and now living in Rutland, Gavin has spent his whole working career (30+ years) in Peterborough. A Director of Budworth Hardcastle, now part of Eddisons, Gavin is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer. Employed as a Director for Eddisons in their Peterborough office specialising in asset management and strategic property advice for property companies, pension funds, occupiers, charities and high net worth individuals in their property portfolios. Away from the office, Gavin is a keen follower of rugby and is active in a number of sports including running, skiing, golf, tennis and cycling. Gavin is married with two grown up sons who both now live and work in London.
Dr Nainika Menon MRCS, BMBS (Hons), BMedSci (Hons)
Nainika is currently a registrar in General Surgery within the Oxford region. As a former Deputy Head Girl at The Peterborough School, Nainika obtained her medical degree from The University of Nottingham in 2015. Nainika’s interest outside of medicine include embroidery, baking and reading.

Mrs Helen Louise Milligan-Smith LLB Hons
Helen was educated in Manchester and Leicester and graduated in Law. Having lived all round the country working for companies including Whitbread and Greggs, Helen now works in Covent Garden as the Corporate Director of Brakes Foodservice. She settled in Peterborough in 2011 and both her son and daughter attend the School.
Helen was Young Business Person of the Year 2011, was a finalist on the BBC's The Apprentice and was a Business Connector for Prince Charles.

Dr Ellen Nisbet
Dr Ellen Nisbet is a microbiologist at the University of Nottingham, where she conducts research on malaria parasites and coral reefs. She has previously worked at the University of Cambridge, where she was a Fellow at Downing College and at Darwin College, and at the University of South Australia. She is the mother of two small children. She loves cakes, travelling and (before having children) played the cello.
Deputy Chair, Mr Paul Simmons
Paul is a business consultant and executive coach, who worked for many years for Barclays Bank in the Peterborough and East Anglia region. He was head of their commercial and corporate business teams. Since retiring from them he has been a Trustee of Vivacity, Peterborough's Culture and Leisure Trust. His interests include golf and football. He is married to Mary, with three grown up children and three grandchildren.
Dr Jackie Thompson, LMSSA, MBBS, DRCOG
Dr Jackie Thompson is a retired General Practitioner, who graduated from Kings College Hospital in London. She worked mainly in the Peterborough area, most recently at Orton Medical Practice, and had a close association with the School in the past as her daughter attended. In addition to serving on the School Council, Jackie is a member of the Health and Safety Committee and the Safeguarding Committee.
Mr Kanchan Chakraborty
Kanchan is a highly accomplished Transformational Director based out of Peterborough and working for Diligenta, a leading provider of Life and Pension Administration services in UK. He has over two decades of experience in leading very large and complex transformation in UK, US and India, mainly for the insurance industry. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Science and has a deep interest in the latest technology trends. He enjoys travelling, following world cricket and watching Bollywood movies. Kanchan is married with one daughter who is a former pupil of The Peterborough School and who is now studying in London.
