Outstanding results achieved by Year 11 students
Students at The Peterborough School have achieved an impressive set of GCSE results in their summer exams.
Students at The Peterborough School have achieved an impressive set of GCSE results in their summer exams, with more Grade 8 and 9s awarded to students than in the School’s last results in 2022 despite the harsher marking this summer. The Peterborough School has this year achieved its highest grades from sat examinations since the number grading system started in 2017.
A week on from the excellent A Level results received by Year 13 students, these GCSE results add to the School’s consistently high record of examination success. These results are exceptional, especially considering that the Year 11s studied during the pandemic in key years during their time in the Senior School.
Individual successes include Academic Scholar Bethany Cave who achieved eight Grade 9s and two Grade 8s, and Emma Clay who received six Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 7. Both students are also staying on to study their A Levels at The Peterborough School from September. Continuing this success are Rowan Deem who receives four Grade 9s, five Grade 8s and one Grade 7, with classmate Karina Shah celebrating a range of excellent GCSEs with two Grade 9s, six 8s and two Grade 7s. They will also be joining the Sixth Form at TPS from next month. Bhanavi Khandige also achieved outstanding GCSE results today with four Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and two Grade 7s.
Headmaster, Adrian Meadows, was full of praise for all the students, saying: “I am incredibly proud of our Year 11 students whose dedication to their studies has paid off with a set of excellent results, setting them up for a bright future. Studying for exams can be a stressful experience, and I would like to extend my thanks to parents, friends and family who have supported our students throughout their GCSEs, as well as the teaching staff here for preparing our students for their exams. We look forward to welcoming our students back in September as they embark on the next stage in their academic journey, as they start their A Level studies with us.”
