Amazing Appeals Day Breaks Fundraising Records for Sue Ryder
Pupils and staff worked incredibly hard on Appeals Day to raise a massive £3,680 so far for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice Appeal.
Pupils and staff worked incredibly hard on Appeals Day to raise an amazing total for our main charity, The Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice Appeal. The current total stands at £3,680, which includes an amazing £1,018 raised by Dr Elding's marathon indoor row - smashing our previous highest Appeals Day total.
We welcomed Julie Laithwaite from Sue Ryder who brought the Sue Ryder Mini which was swiftly filled with balloons to create another money-spinning puzzle. Julie was thrilled to experience the ingenious variety of stalls, games and shows during the day and was there to cheer on Dr Elding as he completed his three hours on the rowing machine.
BBC Radio Cambridgeshire also popped along to cheer on all the fundraising efforts and talk to Mr Meadows about the School's support of the Sue Ryder Appeal. They also managed a very quick interview with a somewhat breathless Dr Elding!
