Open Day a Huge Success
Current and Prospective Families welcomed to TPS on Saturday 1st October
Parents and pupils enjoyed touring the School campus and meeting teaching staff on our first Open Day of the academic year. Thankfully the sun shone while our tour guides from Year 6 showed families key areas of the Nursery and Prep School and our Sixth Formers guided people around the Senior School and impressive Sixth Form Block. The Sports Hall showcased a variety of fun activities on offer from trampolining, wall climbing, basketball and indoor cricket nets, whilst the Director of Music accompanied the Chapel Choir who sang a variety of uplifting melodies. The Drama, Art & Product Design Departments had small groups of Year 7 and Year 8 pupils undertaking creative workshops and Computing staff encouraged visitors to join in their coding activities. There were experiments in Science, a Sugar Content Quiz in P.S.H.E., delicious cooking in the Food Tech building and all Heads of Department were available to answer any questions regarding subject choices, such as Modern Foreign Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences. The Refectory presented an array of hot food and scrumptious cakes which reflected the positive feedback that pupils at TPS are fed very well every day!
The Headmaster would like to thank everyone who attended and the Admissions Team would like to invite anyone who was not able to attend, to make contact to organise a separate visit.
We are hosting a Sixth Form Open Evening aimed at current Year 10 and Year 11 pupils and their parents, on Tuesday 11 October from 6.45pm - 8.30pm.
